Doubles - Using separate identical files

When I use 1 file on both decks I sometimes have weird problems. When I do doubles I need to create 2 separate (but identical) video files, but then the "instant doubles" function doesn't work. Does anyone else have this problem? Any workarounds?

I have the idea of synced drives running a RAID configuration with one drive for each turntable. Should be easy to accomplish with deck 1 and deck 2 crates, but it would be a nice option in the program at some point.
