... you opened a shrink wrapped 12" Single or Album by rubbing it on your leg...
Somebody posted that on Facebook and my leg actually tingled (NH NM)- I miss that - it was so cool!
Damn Serato - a blessing and a curse!

I open up my CVs like that. Lol. I must say it's been a while, since I don't buy "new music" on vinyl anymore. I only dig now.

I miss that warm vinyl sound in a club. The differences between a quality produced digital sound file against a quality produce vinyl record are very noticeable.

It's been about 5 years since my last brand new piece of vinyl was purchased. I have been buying used stuff here and there

I don't miss those damn paper cuts from sharp album covers. Some of those things were like razor blades.

It was sOooo easy to say, "nah, I don't have that in my crate"
End of dumbass conversation.
I just bought 100 worth of records a few weeks back at Rock & Soul.
Funny thing is, they were all OLD!

Damn Johnny I thought you were a real one???
I saw a DJ do that many, many years ago and haven't looked back since. I admit, I am usually wearing jeans or denim when I was around the house listening to new stuff back in the day. Made it easier than doing it in dress slacks
I will admit I still CANNOT easily open a retail CD. I got a promo CD slicer/opener at Winter Music Conference one year but lost it. It used to take me about 4 or 5 minutes to open a stupid CD without that thingee.
Thank goodness for digital downloads and online record pools...

LOL! No you misunderstand me...
I never used the "across the jeans" way, I always used the "Thumbnail" way....
Doing it across jeans to me would prematurely damage the jacket... :-)>

Nice! Wish I had one of those back in the day. Hell, I wish I had one today! Those packages from Stokyo are a bitch to open.

Some of y'alls techique may have been a little off. The key is to use light pressure but fast back-N-forth friction, on denim, to open the LP covers. Worked like a charm. (Nm)
