I had a small collection of these "City-Wide Records" compilations in 1992. That's when I first heard this track.

I remember personally picking this particular one because it had Flamethrower Rap by Felix & Jarvis on it. A song I hadn't heard in years at the time.

I actually looked it up after reading this thread... The voice is actually an impression of a guy called Alan Whicker who used to present a travelogue program on TV in the UK.

I've got a copy on 7" somewhere, always kinda liked it but didn't realise it had ever been popular, and especially not on US radio as apparently it was!
