Whats good serato fam!

Spoke with Basic the other day about possibly doing a pool jammy over here at my condo complex in Moorpark, CA right off the 118 freeway in Ventura County.

Lets get some feeler dates going on for the summer, Saturday or Sunday (we all gig so lets make something work!)...

I'll have my setup (two techs and rane62) and 15inch Eon's with a mixer board, if someone is down to bring another setup, i have tables and cords and crap here.

Concerns peeps might have??
- its a condo complex so why should we come?? Well i have the parking situation worked out so its perfect, we can have 30+ cars parked nicely and its in a parking lot that is safe, no hopping walls or walking far, i have the key to the fire gate :)

- The pool area can be rented and this is why i want to get a date in advance! There is a clubhouse in the pool area that will be rented too, so we will have a fridge/freezer, stove, counter, sink, seating, bathrooms, etc. I will also have my grill out there with propane!

- I have thrown a few parties over the last few summers on Sunday's out of all days and we have had 3 setups going with all of the annoying scratchers including myself and Vestax/Stokyo's DJ Ronix. and we have had the party rocking longer then most of you peeps stay anyways!

- LETS get this going!

DATES DATES DATES for summer! lets all get some solid ones and take some votes :)

Oh damn..... Sounds great. I haven't been to a Jammy Jam in a minute.

I'm making sure this year not to do any gigs on Sundays so any Sunday works for me.

June 24 for me...


Yo Ricky, I got the ECU retuned on the Audi. Baseline dyno was 192 hp/ 202lbs torque. After tuning, im pushing 252hp, 268lbs of torque on 91oct... looks like Im taking the canyons to get to your place LOL.

As we get closer to the date, we need to figure out what each of us will bring so we don't end up with 20 set ups (or 1 set up), 50 bags of chips and no soda, or actual food. lol

Hahaha! Haters. My decks are "vintage" but still work like a charm. And yes, one of the start/stop buttons is mushy but it's been like that since I bought it nearly 20 years ago. I wouldn't exactly call two techs and a sixty-one outdated.

But hell, I'm cool with not lugging around my gear! I'll bring the Pioneer Chicken. Woot!

just submitted the reservation request for the pool and the clubhouse!!! pool temp is nice and warm after they fixed the solar heaters!!! YES!!!

Lets get a food/beverage list going. Btw the other cat with the 2nd setup is iffy right now since he might be on tour, but i have at least one set of turns and 62 mixer and two 15inch jbl eons which is good for the area since its a condo spot. Another pa speaker for the other setups "monitors" would be ideal if someone wants to bring one. :D

yes 24th! i'm finalizing to pool reservation on tues next week, HOA is lame right now and won't let me lock anything until i make an appearance at there office to cut the deposit and payment checks :)

Condo complex is cool, but thats why i didn't recommend bringing subs, last year i had a few of these parties with a few setups. Most speakers i had (no subs) were a total of 3 15inch eon G2's. I live right on the side of a freeway so i point the speakers towards the freeway, the pool is in the corner of the complete and then the clubhouse is behind the pool and freeway in front so it works out fairly nice :)

I'll let you peeps decide on the other setups, if all is cool with smizzle's generous offer(s) then i'm game too!

@oj! just got it!!! can't wait!!!

HOA update, everything is bueno! See everyone June 24th! 12pm i'm shooting for start time so we can rock it and enjoy the sun. I will have some ez up's too so the vinyl doesn't get messed up, etc.

The clubhouse which is in the pool area has a girls and boys bano (1 each)... kitchen with stove and oven and fridge/freezer, sink, dishwasher, etc.... there is a counter top, and seats/tables, the pool has chairs and layout chairs... and ill have my grill as mentioned.

Eder, Splyce and I got there late, so we missed most of the food :( We did get there in time to see the "sets." Big shouts to Ricky Jay for hosting...beautiful weather, it was cool to have a pool party and a normal guy to girl ratio.

Since we got there late, however, I think we missed the jammy jam part of the whole thing. By the time we got there, it was just people wanting to do "sets", which I've never really seen at a jammy jam. One person actually got on the mic, turned off all the music, and asked everyone else to stop scratching while they did their "set", and the person before did about a 30 minute set and explained that he was "in the zone" and would rather people wait til he was done to get on the turntables. Not really in the spirit of a jammy jam in my opinion.

All good, it was good to see the homies that we don't see that often...Smizzle, Mikey P, Suxxx, Ben, Ricky Jay, etc. I'll probably host another one at my house towards the beginning to middle of fall.
