WTF Serato 2.2 Vci 300

Kunststoff 12:04 AM - 6 April, 2012
Last night i tried 2.2 Itch on public.

System Win XP - modified for djing , i mean everything tweaked so i have only 100 mb ram used by OS and no wifi bluetooth e.t.c ..

DCP latency Checker shows - green only but............

After 1 hour and 15 minutes - Firs Drop out ....... interesting then ....

Smart Sync doesn`t goes off (sometimes) after I pushed Shift+Sync , ok ..... but somehow decks were unsyncronized but lights showed me as they were on sync ...

I know you gonna tell me it`s all about a laptop , but believe me it`s not ....

2.0.1 i could spin with a 2 ms latency with no issues ....

THX Serato but i prefer to step back ...

the question is - i noticed by installations that serato installed new drivers on my laptop.I still have 2.0.1 renamed on my computer so - if i use it - do i use new drivers or old one > ??? anyone ?

should i reinstall 2.0.1 ? or kust rename 2.0.1 back to itch.exe ?

I think it would be best to submit a help request so we can determine what "Really" went wrong.
Would you mind posting your laptop model and specs....

I wouldn't be surprise with this spec coz I have the same PC with Vista and I'm running 10 ms on the USB buffer I even went more because of the occasional glitches.... I just got tired of PC and moved on to MAC.

I'm not trying to offend you man but I do have experiences where ITCH would just give me a random dropout where I can't control ITCH and that I have to reboot which is embarrassing of your playing live.

Your computer appears to meet itch specs but heres a basic check list to try.

Considering the issue stated After 1 hour and 15 minutes, could this be a overheating issue ?
Was there adequate ventilation during issue ?
Have you used it since an was there any issues ?
Have you stress tested it for at least 2 hours ?
Did you switch out ALL usb cords and test for issue ?
Did you delete all itch files reinstall reboot then test ?
Did you do all Security updates, virus and malware scans ?
Have you tried running music off internal drive ?
Kunststoff 9:10 PM - 6 April, 2012
Ventilaion was ok , normally it shows me 50 degrees + i have a 8800mh battery which makes a space between laptop and a table himself

i used at home - no issues

tested at home for 2 houres at least

malware scan , antivirus scan - done nothing

what you mean switch out all usb cords ? except Usb cable which goes to VCI everything else is off

P.S thanks for helping me ... serato still on holidays...

Here's the deal, for real though.

HP laptops (even above minimum specs) + Serato = eventual fail.

I went through 2 of them, and have seen SO many people on the forums with issues like this. Mine were both over-spec at the time too. IDK what is different about the HPs, but seriously, no bueno. Get a Mac, and if you can't do that, get a used Mac. :)

Replace laptop to vci usb and external drive to laptop usb cords.

Get a MAC or install MAC OSX on that machine . Since you have an ITEL chip it would easy to do. Google It may save you some cash. I'm running a I3 Acer with Snow Leopard/WIn 7 dual boot. It is night day experience.
