I unfortunately learned primarily on itch, which was my mistake, but I have NOTHING but problems with your software. The left deck when I press play has a little delay... (the right one has no delay), the sound halft eh time doesn't work. When it does it has distortion issues. i tried it on a mac computer and it was perfect but not all of us have the luxury of owning a mac... are the PC users completely screwed? Is there any way around this without using this god awful PC software?

I've done everything, and its not the basic stuff either i've read the manual, all my trims are up etc etc.

I would love to get this working to, you know, DJ...

I've tried versions 1.8, 2.01, and 2.1 - all fo which have given me nothing but problems.

Please help.... or if unable to please tell me what other options I have. Virtual DJ appears to be working perfectly for me except I'm not a fan of the interface.

Also, does any one have any mappers for Traktor's software?

I used to use it before this and not once had a single issue.

I may sound upset, but this happened during a gig (and continues on to this day).. which is unacceptable. For a company that apparently prides themselves on all things DJ you'd expect their software to, you know, work.

Hi uns33n12345,

Can you please let me know your computer specifications? Can you also let me know if you have optimized your computer as per the guide here:

serato.com

Can you also upload a DPC trace report to the thread? You can find instructions on how to do this here:

serato.com

Cheers,

Sam.

Don't worry about it, I have a gig tonight so I went and returned the DDJ S1 and got the Traktor version. Low and behold, it works.

Sad.

Sorry you had so much problems. I have an HP Pavilion g6 (similar specs to yours). I bought the S1 at intro (about 1 year ago) and use it every weekend without issue (flawless). Could've been some of the the junk background software that usually comes preloaded on your pc when purchased. I got rid of all the uneeded software and I usually turn off the wireless when spinning. Good luck.

Hello,

HP Notebook comes with many software utilities such as OSD, backup, settings, etc. unique to HP. If so, I suggest that you format your notebook and leave only Windows 7 and upgraded with wireless completely disabled.

Follow the procedures for optimization here serato.com and make all the necessary processes.

The device works perfectly well in PC architecture and in some cases better than Mac.

I've read several cases here in the forum about problems on the Mac that does not exist on the PC and vice versa. Each case is unique!
