Serato DJ Pro General Discussion

Talk about Serato DJ Pro, expansion packs and supported hardware

Why don't my crates stay the way I last left them (2.1)?

seratosnatch 10:29 PM - 2 February, 2012
I just dragged my crates in a different order and closed Itch.
When I reopen Itch, I notice the order is not the same as I last left it.
Why?
seratosnatch 12:07 PM - 3 February, 2012
Now I am even deleting crates and then after I open Itch again, they are there again? WTF?
Maybe I need to delete some crates in my Serato folder?
seratosnatch 12:31 PM - 3 February, 2012
seems a major bug. Trying all the time to delete and they just show up when I restart.
Djpr1 2:50 PM - 3 February, 2012
I've reported this bug ck here serato.com

Hi, thanks for the link. Thing is my hd is internal. Anyone from Serato have an idea. Seems I cannot save, delete or arrange my crates as once I close the program and reopen it , no changes were made, just a lot of crates and mess.
seratosnatch 12:18 PM - 9 February, 2012
I notice this with all Serato programs..weird..I have deleted the crates from my library and they still come back when I reopen Itch. Anyone got a clue?
djcerla 2:03 PM - 9 February, 2012
probably you've locked the folder where the Serato database is located (no write permission)
seratosnatch 2:08 PM - 9 February, 2012
Hmm..good point, but if it was locked, how could I be deleting the crates folder manually? I have them all to "read and write" .
seratosnatch 12:10 PM - 10 February, 2012
Anyone from Serato have a clue? I don't get it..All Serato programs have this issue.
Itch and SSL. What could it be?
Djpr1 1:01 PM - 10 February, 2012
They didn't have an answer for me either and it's been a lil while...
seratosnatch 1:16 PM - 10 February, 2012
Something is Serato specific as I do not have this issue with other programs that have library systems. So it seems a big bug or what>?
seratosnatch 9:00 AM - 11 February, 2012
Pretty incredible..nobody from Serato has any input. Great support.
Think it may be the time to ditch the Itch.
phatbob 10:25 AM - 11 February, 2012
Support staff don't regularly check the general discussion area.

Did you post this as a help request?
phatbob 10:30 AM - 11 February, 2012
djpr1 posted a help request in the Scratch Live help area, and got an answer.

He didn't like it though, so didn't try and follow the advice.
seratosnatch 4:24 PM - 11 February, 2012
I checked that post..did not help me.
phatbob 5:20 PM - 11 February, 2012
So post in the help area if you need help.
seratosnatch 6:44 PM - 11 February, 2012
I'll try before I give up.
seratosnatch 6:45 PM - 11 February, 2012
I see only controller related HELP..this is not controller related.
Is there a general Itch help?
phatbob 6:55 PM - 11 February, 2012
It is helpful for the support staff to start with which controller you're using. Some software issues CAN be unique to certain hardware.

Give them as much info about the problem, your library, system specs as you can.

And bear in mind it is the weekend so they won't see it till Monday.
seratosnatch 7:08 PM - 11 February, 2012
Thanks..have posted to one of the controllers I use.
Cheers:)

Using Scratch Live 2.4.2 and having the same problem. I arrange my crates, exit the program, re-open, and the crates are all over the place again! VERY FRUSTRATING Serato!!!
