Did you guys enjoy X-Men First Class?
Nicky Blunt 8:24 PM - 8 May, 2012
As with roger, Ive been a hardcore coomic book fan since I was a lil boy.
so naturally I thought the chance to see the OG line up in a movie was kinda cool. But it was only ok @ best compared to the other 4 xmen movies.

Looking forward to spiderman coming out soon too.

Just asking because I thought it was boring and contrived. I have a bias against comic book adaptations I guess.
Nicky Blunt 1:36 AM - 9 May, 2012
Dude, it's never gonna be an award winning story line. Compared to something like say the godfather. You know what you are going in for. It's a comic book adaptation. They are what they are, take it or leave it i guess,

Batman by Chris Nolan set the bar too high I guess. Id like to see more dark and edgy adaptations.
DJ Reflex 4:22 AM - 9 May, 2012
Can't wait to see the latest Batman addition. Loved the first one with Michael Keaton back in 89. Last two were superb as well.

I too feel it was Ok.,just Ok... But I enjoyed it.. There were a few hot scenes like Magneto pulling the submarine from the water etc..

Quote:

I don't got see these comic book movies with the expectation that everything will be exactly like in the comics.. I like to go enjoy the movie, get lost in the "that-sh*t was hot moment" and the heroic acts while munching on popcorn.

Then after the movie and am walking away with my pubescent imagination running wild, the movie theme song and certain scenes replaying in my head while euphoria engulfs my spirit and a temporary feeling of extra-strength and adrenaline invigorates my body...

Spiderman is also on my to see list and Batman...

How improved: i.imgur.com
Nicky Blunt 11:07 AM - 9 May, 2012
Agree on the hulk improvements from 03 - 12. However my fave hulk movie has to be the Edward Norton one. (besides the lou ferrigno TV show). He is a fantastic actor (ed norton) & after the terrible effort put in on the 1st attempt. The second go at it was surprisingly awesome.

Batman, I've steered clear of the trailers for. Because I felt that before I'd even seen the dark knight I'd seen the best parts of the movie thru the trailers. So I tend to avoid them. Can't wait to see it tho.

I'm also kinda stoked that the hobbit is getting released soon(ish).

Problem with that is that your comparing a dark comic book in batman to the more uplifiting marvel comics titles. Your never gonna get tru;y dark & grimey unless you go DC comics. Marvel comics were not about that for the most part.
