Is there a new minimum system requirements for version 1.7.4? I just saw a thread where an admin advised someone who has 768mb of memory to upgrade because he was having usb dropouts. I thought the minimum requirement was 512mb..

i guess they've gone up a little... in my 57 manual it says 256 MB!!!

now the updated manual says 1 GB

Hi Karrsin,

you're correct the minimum requirements are now 1GB

modern OSes just don't function too great with less than 1 GB

MY MacBok only has 512! Alreay installed 1.7.4.

my scratch live seamed to work better on my old laptop whick was 512 ram than my new one which has 2g, does anyone know why or is it because its vista.

possibly, the way to check would be installing XP :-)
