I downloaded scratch live 2.3.1, it doesnt shows the old version still. I haven't plugged the hardware in yet. I'm thinking its that but I'm unsure.

Downloading the latest version of Scratchlive will automatically overwrite the previous version unless you rename the old version in a similar fashion to this: serato.com
You can always get the previous version here: serato.com
So you should be apples :)

On the MAC it does not write over the previous version. After you install the new version and restart your computer you will need to go to Macintosh Hd / Applicaitons. There you will see it listed alphabetically. Drag that to your desktop or dock and it will replace the old icon for you.
