PCDJ just sent me an email about upgrading my current PCDJ software to PCVJ for $199.

I guess I'm going to have to toss SSL to the side and go with one of these other programs sense SERATO 1.8 VERSION IS A COMPLETELY BOGUS. I got my hope up... and now I find out that they will never upgrade SSL again.... I guess I'm going to go back to my room and cry now </sarcasm>

Just downloaded PCDJ VJ. Abused it for 4 hours and yet to see it fail. Same interface as Virtual DJ,but more stable. Only time i saw a flaw was when it could not track Serato Timecode Vinyl accurately for a minute. I believe its a VISTA USB issue, koz i get that with Scratch Live too in the form of plenty USB drop outs. Files used were .vob, .avi, .dat. All seem to work fine.
Not bad! 3.5 out of 5 is what i would say. They also read the Scratch Live Crate folder and show your tracks just like in SSL. Theivery, I SAY!

My trials have proven PCDJ to be more stable. Not club ready yet though!
First time i downloaded a VDJ and installed it, i loaded a .vob file. After 10 seconds VDJ " encountered fatal error" and tried to recover.....ofcourse it didn't. The application closed. Imagine this happening at a club? YOu'll be fired. or stoned...
PCDJ on the other hand....so far has not failed. But i have had it for 5 hours only. And i have hooked up SL 1 box to it, a midi controller, and running from an external hard drive. Still working.
Conclusion ; initial testing shows PCDJ within first few hours of operation to be significantly more stable than VDJ

So when version 1.8 hits the scene what are u gonna do with VDJ...... Is VDJ club ready yet, One of my managers wants to do this video shit, or i wouldnt care about it at all
