Hi,

I recently setup my Xone 3D mixer midi controls with Serato. It was straight forward and easy and serato detected all of the midi maps. After about an hours use, all of the midi maps stopped working and now i cant map any of the midi controls.

I have updated the firmware for the mixer and updated the drivers for the midi adapter (Edirol UM-2ex) but still get no response when trying to map.

I was going to replace the usb/midi adapter as i cant think of anything else that it could be but thought id pose the question just in case im doing something or not doing something as the case may be...

Please help!

Hey Serato midi has stopped working,

A couple questions :
- If you turn the mixer off and restart Scratch Live, does it work again?
- If you download this MIDI monitor here : www.snoize.com and open it up with the Xone mixer connected - select the Xone as the 'Source' and then press buttons/move faders on it. When you do this can you see MIDI messages being sent? They should appear when you press/move something.
- If you enter MIDI mode in Scratch Live, do all the buttons/faders in Scratch Live that you MIDI mapped still have a green box around them? This will indicate they are still MIDI mapped.

Sorry for the delay in reply, i have been away and unable to test your queries.

If i restart Scratch and then mixer i still get no response in midi mapping. I have downloaded the MIDI monitor and although it recognizes the USB Midi device it displays no messages.

In my attempt to rectify whatever had gone wrong, i deleted all of my previous midi maps and now it wont let me map anything. I have also tested another midi/usb adaptor and it still doesnt work.

I would normally assume that the fault lies with my mixer but it worked great when i first set it up and then after just one hour everything dropped out and stopped working.

Bloody technology ;(
