btw, the 1.8 thing is misleading, no way you could do anything like that on just serato... (maybe if they increased the cue points to like 20) - likely made with final cut pro or something...

just like you can't do it on vdjs. guys don't remix videos on the fly, they premix them and play them at the gigs. i think people realize that.

apparently not.
I wouldn't doubt that a few years down the road, Ableton Live will be capable of doing video and something like this can be done in real-time (albeit with heavy prep-work).

That was wack. I can do all of this and more in ssl 10.8. You can have up to 50 cue points and 6 turntables for video. I got it in the download section here ----> www.scratchlive.net

With the video that I seen....wouldn't it be bad ass if you could map out video to a keyboard via MIDI?? like in Reason Recycle!!! How you cut up an audio sample....well, if you could cut up a video sample and map it out to like maybe 16 drum pads, or 20 keys on a keyboard.....
Oh damn that'd be sweet.... i know its not something that could be done in Serato, but some program should think of this

There are videomixing programs out there that are controlled via midi keyboards.
The best live video i've ever seen was a coldcut concert where 3 DJs were each playing on DVJs - each were playing a seperate portion of a song and mixing/scratching with each of the tracks associated with a video. Then there was a dude on a network of computers mixing the video feeds from the DVJs, the feed from some dude in the audience with a camera, and various other images he had. It was incredible.
