2.3 Please Dont Crash On Me Tonight!!!

RAYMIXX 1:49 AM - 13 August, 2011
Just updated to 2.3 and I see a lot of peeps having a lot of problems with the update...If I would of known I would of waited until Sun to download it and had a chance to mess with it. So far no problems, been messing with it for an hour.

Anyone else feel the same as I do??? lol
Sureshot (PA) 4:11 AM - 13 August, 2011
um.. let me be the first to tell you that you should have waited till sunday. no one who cares about their gig would run an new version of a software they haven't tested.

also, if we did, we wouldn't blow up our own dumb ass spot on a forum.
the_black_one 5:08 AM - 13 August, 2011
Im running it two nights in a row! all good homie
sixxx 10:19 AM - 13 August, 2011
I had two issues tonight. One was a usb dropout. Second one was very annoying. It would "freeze" when searching tracks. Output audio and video were fine but I could not do anything
for up to 15-20 seconds until the beachball would go away.
dj pesh 10:23 AM - 13 August, 2011
ran it for 7 hours straight last night. Mix emergency loaded, and i had no problems, no dropouts, nothing.... I find it very stable.
Proto J 10:36 AM - 13 August, 2011
yeah, ran smooth for me the last couple nights.

such a relief to not have to reboot my quadcore machine in 32bit mode anymore.

Yea I've had USB drop outs but thats only when I'm doing RIDICULOUS tasking with it... Like more then 3 effects going at once, a bunch of samples and loading tracks...

I have 8 gigs of ram and a pretty strong processor so I don't know why its causing it.
DJMANICO 1:08 PM - 13 August, 2011
I went back to 2.1. I was using the DN-HC 4500 & the AKAI LPD8 for the hotcues. But the LPD8 acts as play/pause in 2.3. 2.3 no good at all. Waiting for 2.3.1. HA HA!!!
4mydawgz 2:45 PM - 13 August, 2011
I had to run it at a gig recently because version 2.2 wouldn't load the decks. No problems with it. Luckily.
Discobee 3:02 PM - 13 August, 2011
From what I've read in several posts, I an so glad I'm on 1.9.2 still.
L2daGee 5:12 PM - 13 August, 2011
5 hour set last night with 2.3. Flawless Victory! Also ran VSL, worked great, also did not have any stuttering waveforms.

L2daGee...I have the same MacBook Pro specs as you except 8 gig of ram...have u noticed less waveform stuttering when using VSL in 2.3 than 2.2???

Had a gig last thursday and in the middle of it my cdj400's hid mode stucked and had to switch to timecode for the rest of the night..luckily it was at the beginning so i was still chilled and before all that massive mixes...too bad because ive just started sorting my hot cue labels..
Dj-M.Bezzle 3:52 PM - 14 August, 2011
I dont think it ran as smoothly as normal, but 0 issues
Dj Koppa Top 4:37 PM - 14 August, 2011
rocked 2.3 last night live for the first she's on point. they did it again.
RAYMIXX 5:08 PM - 14 August, 2011
Yeah same here, rocked it Fri and last night night for abt 4 hours each night and no problems at all...the only thing I noticed was that when I hold the down arrow button to scroll thru my music that the waveforms where a lil jerky but not drop outs or nothing.

I got my MacBook Pro the day 2.3 came out, so I never tried it with 2.2. But 2.3 works great. No stuttering waveforms at all.
