Dope Numark NS7 Carrying Case! CHEAP!

DJ Grand K 3:15 PM - 7 July, 2011
So I am a proud owner of NS7, so I was thinking of what to Carry/Store/Keep it Safe in. And all-in-all I didn't want to pay $200-$300+ on a flight case since I spent over a grand on the controller.

So I found this solution that works for me and could work for you too! It is def worth it, Well made and durable!

The bag is called : BODY GLOVE Series ONE 49 Key KEYBOARD Bag ( $49.99! )

*****PICS*****

NS7 Packed Inside the Bag, zipped up. (NSFX/Laptop Stand Bars/Front Plate on top): i.imgur.com

NSFX, Laptop Stand Bars, and Front Face Plate fit inside perfectly with lots of room to spare: i.imgur.com

Packed up and ready to rock! (Flip-Flops, Tapco Thump, and Fan/CD-Spindle not included): i.imgur.com

Last pic I had just set it down with the full weight of the bag on the handle so it looks a little poofed up but its not the NS7 bulging out. The NS7 actually has a little bit of room, but not too much. This also comes with a shoulder carrying strap but I took it off. Just letting you know it DOES come with one.

Your best best is probably Ebay! Amazon has it for a little more priced but ebay was very reliable and I got it for $49.95.

If you got any questions let me know. :-)

I love it, think i might get one of those! I have a road ready case but that will be good for when i only need my NS7 and laptop and dont need my speakers

Check the availability of the bag before getting too excited. Body Glove discontinued their line of keyboard bags a while ago. You might have to look around a lot for some dead stock if you're to actually find one.

i got one about a month ago on Ebay. The seller had 10 at the time. It was the only place I could find one. Fits awesome.

Awesome find. This looks promising if SKB doesn't release their custom NS7 soft case soon. My one concern is that it looks like the NS7 isn't in too tight (room on the sides)...
DJ Grand K 6:13 PM - 8 July, 2011
You are right, it is not perfectly tight. But the solution to that is use the thermocol which NS7 came with. You can make it adjust it so in that way it won't even move an inch.

What I don't understand is why protect your $1500 investement with a $50 soft bag? Just dish out for the hard case.

I have the hard case, which Numark graciously sent me during the V7 rebates and don't like using it. I prefer using my NS7 out of the coffin and don't like carrying all of the extra weight of the coffin.

When I first bought my NS7, I bought the bag mentioned in this thread. I bought it on ebay and pretty much immediately sold it right back on ebay. I didn't like the size of it. It was quite a bit bulky to me. Not trying to hi-jack the thread but I found a different one and have been using it for well over a year now. It's more closer to the size of the NS7 and not as bulky. Along with the outside compartment, it has an inner pocket that is perfect for the power & usb cable and other small items. The padding on the Body Glove bag was thicker though. This one will do the job but you can't just throw the NS7 around using it.

That's cool but NS7 is a Tank. And that bag is too soft and can't really protect the NS7 from being dinged.
And the NS7 is a bit too heavy to carry with that handle.
I guess to each his own....

Cheers!!!

i agree with having a case for the ns7 but bag does come in handy. bag is for on the go, like maybe a club where u jus need u laptop and ns7 . but for those long road gigs it is best to have ur ns7 case in the truck with the speakers
DJ Grand K 4:21 AM - 10 July, 2011
Yes for the long run the NS7 case is better with no doubt. But any protection is better than no protection. The bag offers a quick solution and is in fact heavy duty. I have been using it for 4 months now and have no problem but in the end, the NS7 hard casing is better but 6x more expensive.

It's a protection for your $1500 unit. I saw this dude once carrying his NS7 in a bag and he was going up the stairs to the DJ booth and he hit the corner of the stairs with his NS7 pretty hard and it actually messed up his right deck motor.....
So what I'm trying to say is that if he had the case with him, that would have never happened.
DJ Grand K 5:45 AM - 10 July, 2011
Yes I see what you are saying and I agree with you that the hard case is better as I mentioned in my last post. But people who already spent $1500 rather hesitate to buy the case for $300. $50 for a durable bag is quick protection if not better. You can have more protection by adding thermocol to the sides of NS7 while it's in the bag to ensure corner protection. In that way if you bump into something, nothing will happen to NS7.

In addition, some people must have bought warranty and probably won't feel the need to spend extra $300 for case. I personally bought mine from Guitar Center and bought $150 warranty for 3 years. I personally think thats a much better option because first, it is the half the price of case & second its for 3 years. Moreover, Guitar Center warranty service is outstanding. They pay for shipping back and forth if something happens. If they cannot repair due to much damage, they replace the whole system for free.

I bought this bag from Amazon $49.99 based on the info above and what I received was different from the picture displayed. They sent me a small bag that is useless.. :-(

Wow, report it and return it. What is the link of the amazon you bought it from?
