MP4 support on Serato Itch 2.0

Will this updated version play an mp4 format? I don't care about playing the video just the track!

make sure you have 'show all file types' checked in setup

Awesome the only reason I haven't even bought Itch was for this reason! I take my Technics every where their like my kids but sometimes its over kill! thanks playas!

my mp4 files are stored through iTunes but i cannot find them in itch. any help would be appreciated, thanks

Pesh, make sure you have Itch showing all file types. Maybe then you'll find them.

Still can't trumbot. Use scratch live with mix emergency but I just bought the ns6 to try out and I love it to bits but all my music and videos are organised through iTunes. I only want to play the mp4 audio and u cannot find a way for the mp4 to show up using iTunes playlist. I hope they implement this compatibilty in the next 2.0 release.

I hope once Itch and video supports comes out that we will be able to use Mix Emergency with Itch!!

I double you on that nik39. VSL is good for its purpose but i need a media bank so i can advertise the clubs promotions when i play an MP3 and thats one reason why i use Mix Emergency.

ITCH can only read AAC-LC audio from MP4 containers (whether labeled MP4 or M4A). If your MP4s contain another type of AAC encoding, ITCH cannot use it. Use a software-extraction tool to pull the audio track from your MP4s and convert it to either MP3 or AAC-LC.
