yea i really want to know cuz i do it ALLLLLLLLL wrong

i mean the laptop i use for my SERATO...
i use it for EVERYTHING

havent done ANY of the tweaks
still rocking the version straight outta the box 1.3. something or other
so i got no problem fucking up my CV's and experimenting with them for 2 reasons

OK
so here goes

it looks like shit
but i didnt notice any difference in the sound quality
i spray painted onto my black records, but not a thick coat of course.

it's just not worth it, but it doesnt ''ruin'' them

spray painting your control records is not going to work. i've used paint pens on the oustide edge of my black control vinyl. My friend is a dope grafitti artist. he has great hand styles.
i'd post a photo, but whatever. the point is that if you put the needle on the painted part of the record, the signal is not read properly. I left enough of the record unpanited, so that i could dj with them. It looked cool enough that I used these records for a while. It was silver paint, so it was mad shiny. but after spinning 5 nights a week for half a month the paint dulled, and looked more greyish. It was a cool concept, and by compromising and leaving most of the record free of paint, i was still able to use them. but the fact that they only looked good for 2 weeks and that the paint is wearing off into my hands (toxic maybe?) I decided it wasn't really worth it. what would be really cool, is a control vinyl picture disc. that would be ill!. see the thread i started in this forum.

They've been making picture discs for decades. google it. there's records with full color photo images on them. They still make them as limited releases for bands and artists. One of the last one's i got was an outkast picture disc. serato should make them with control vinyl.
