Is there anyway to convert my mp3s from Mp3 320KBPS and keep all of my tag info for tracks?
Konix 3:46 AM - 11 June, 2007
No, wavs don't have ID3 tags.

as far as i know,if you convert from mp3 to wav your not gonna get wav sound quality, is this correct anyone?
Konix 1:08 PM - 11 June, 2007
Yes, that is correct. You just going to have a wav file that sounds like a 320 mp3. You won't loose quality, but you aren't going to gain anything.

How about stability gains....

No streaming conversion of files?

What sort of data can the WAVs handle, can you build overviews, bpms, etc? Artist, track name, comments?

I was under the impression WAV can handle id3 just not to the extent mp3s can

Thanks for the help

SSL has it's own way of storing info for wav files. You can "tag" files in SSL (artist, bpm, etc.) but it will only show in SSL, not in other programs like mp3s. And of course you can build overivews.

don't do that!!! mp3 to wav is a terrible idea!
cappinkirk 2:55 PM - 12 June, 2007
it is a waste of space and mp3 is lower quality than wav. doing so is wasteful but it's your resources (time and disk space) not mine so feel free!
