Djs like showing off there mixes right?

Looking for some videos/mixes of upbeat hiphop/hip-house/mashup tracks. Keen to check out what you got.

No long 64 bar mixing please.
typerel 8:46 PM - 20 January, 2011

dreamkast 9:44 PM - 20 January, 2011
Yer thanks didn't know about that one.

Also asking on a Dj forum seems pretty logical.

64 bars. That would be the shortest damn blend I'd ever done.

It's all about 128 bar mixing these days. Journey house!

Heard a mix CD from a SF DJ, Aaron Pope, at Burning Man 2010. It sounds like what you might want.

Yes
People got it real confused. Real Hip House is stuff like Fast Eddie and even on a more general tip, classic Jungle Brothers.

This new school stuff I like to refer to as "Electro Hop".

I remember going through a phase where I'd buy up anything of the DJ International label no matter what it was without even hearing it. Then buying up records that mentioned that they were from Chicago on the label.

Just looked up Kool Rock Steady and it looks like he passed in 1996. I had no idea.
Logisticalstyles 9:23 PM - 21 January, 2011

Wow, pretty cool - never saw that before - damn forgot about Precious and KC Flight. Also trippin on Bill Coleman - most powerful (but soft) man in Dance Music back in the day, you wanted a mention in his column in Billboard, could make or break you as a artist.

good find...
