Yes but that respect is a moral judgement you are making, so not teaching a kid to call a women a ho is a moral judgement on your behalf.
Let me change the question. If a child calls you're women "b*tch" or "ho" would you happily accept that the child was just expressing himself or would you chastise the child and explain why it wasn't the right thing to do? If you would do the latter then it's censorship.

Well that's a completely different topic of discussion, this isn't about sexual hangups, consenting adults are free to do what they want, i whole heartedly agree with that, but not everyone in society can consent. Children cannot, so who makes the decision for them?

Utter rubbish mate, the innocence of a child is not ignorance. People develop through learning and experience, but a civilised society has an obligation to make sure children are not exploited or abused, and that they are allowed to develop at their own rate. yes of course, no one is disputing that, what we are disputing is the fact that you would happily show a child pornography or extreme violence and then say it was morally fine to do so because it was "teaching them" how the world was.

I hardly know where to start with this one. Who decides who's experienced/able to understand moral judgements? I don't think society has any bussiness in my (or anyone elses)morals. You can't legislate taste.

As for who decides who's experienced etc.. that's my point. YOU can't! That's why Society on a whole has taken a decision, introduced the age of consent. An 8 year old girl cannot consent to sex. The mentally handicapped cannot always reason n a manner that will protect them.
Children are not born with a sense of right or wrong, they develop that over their years through knowledge and experience, censorship controls the rate they develop at, and protects them from experiencing things that as a developing child their minds cannot adjust to - such as sex, violence etc... Children's minds are malleable and are vulnerable to suggestion you need to install the ability for a child to make decisions based on the basic concepts of right or wrong. Censorship aids in this process.
I'm not talking about taking everyone's right away what I'm saying is that you need to understand that society cannot just run wild. You cannot just have people doing what they feel like.

No I have to disagree, you are hiding behind the concept of free speech to justify your actions. There are plenty of people within the Pornography industry etc.. who use free speech to protect their businesses AND back censorship.
What is important is how that censorship is controlled and the decisions behind it that are important not the fact that there is censorship.
