Hi DjMaduro.

Are you able to please do the following:

1) Disconnect the Dicers
2) Open Control Panel > Device Manager
3) Click and expand the 'Sound, video and game controllers' section.
4) Connect your Dicers.

Please let me know what the Dicers show as.

Now, what device do the Dicers show as? They should be a USB Composite Device. If they are showing as something else then Windows has installed the wrong drivers for them.

Please let me know how you get on :)

Hello Matt -C,

I did exactly what you said and the Dicers once connected showed up as a " USB Audio Device". They are still not working, do you have any other recommendations for me.

Thanks,

OK cool.

Can you please do the following:

1) Connect the Dicers to your computer.
2) Open Control Panel > Device Manager.
3) Click and expand the 'Sound, video and game controllers' section.
4) Right click on 'USB Composite Device' and select Uninstall (you may be prompted to re-start your computer, please do so.)

Re-connect the Dicers and do the following:

1) When the "Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard" windows appears, you'll be given the "Can Windows connect to Windows Update to search for Software?" message. Select "No, not this time"

2) The window will say "This wizard helps you install software for: USB Audio Device. What do you want the wizard to do?". Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)".

3) At the next window select "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install.".

4) At the next window select "USB Audio Device". Note: you may need to tick the "Show compatible hardware" box to see this.

5) Finish the install driver process.

Now try starting Scratch Live, do the Dicers work?

What service pack do you have? Can you please check (see here: www.serato.com).

If you don't have Service Pack 3 (SP3) then can you please update to this. Your system may not have the proper basic Windows drivers.

Hi, I purchased the Dicers over the past weekend. Earlier today I plugged them into my Win XP Laptop (fully updated with SP3 and running Scratch Live 2.1.1) and when I plugged them in, I was asked to download a driver for the "Novotion Dicer." Of course, since I read the reviews on the Dicers before buying them, I knew I wasn't suppose to need drivers for them to work.

It looks like DJMaduro and I have the same problem, however, when I follow the steps that Matt-C stated above...
Quote:

After I completed the first step after re-connecting the dicers, the window says "This wizard helps you install software for: "USB Composite Device" instead of a "USB Audio Device."

Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
