It depends on each individual event we do there. That night it was deep house during dinner like Miguel Migs, Chuck Love, Lisa Shaw, Fred Everything and so on.

Later, after dinner and awards I spun house but club mixes and some electro house like Richard Dinsdale, Chris Lake, Roger Sanchez, D. Ramirez, etc.

Spinning at the mansion is kinda funny. You'll have people dancing at the beginning of the night but it's pretty hard to complete with the pull of the mansion grounds. By the end of the night everyone is in the grotto or game room or whatever and you're spinning to a lot less people.

We've had Scooter (from Scooter and LaVelle) spin Hip Hop. Ended about the same way. I'm not spinning at the next one. We've got Snoop. :-)

It's different music depending on the promoter and the night. The mansion is really just a big dinner hall for rent. The staff is absolutely the best I've worked with. They'll setup or drop a circus sized tent 3-4 times a week depending on the event. If I needed an ice sculpture of Poseidon with a fish frozen in it by 7:00 pm tonight, their response would be, "I'll make some calls and get you three prices".

As for the guest list, mine is Beale +0. They are super tight there and the security is on top of everything. Now, sometimes we need a few hot girls at the last minute...

WELL, I USED TO SPIN TECHNO when Techno had some soul and substance, before Techno became a worldwide thing. Right around the time that Trance became REAL popular, I just couldn't take it. Went to Urban. I still love House and some of the classic Techno stuff.

I was part of the original sound crew called Deep Space with Juan and Derrick May, paid my dues by letting them use/renting my 1200's and speakers back in the day (mid to late 80's). I grew up in the early Techno scene, Kevin Saunderson was my next door neighbor in college and Eddie Fowlkes was a house mate at one time.

I lived the early Detroit Techno scene, but doing Rap, R&B, and House now.

No Regrets...

It's was because they are promoting LA Clippers gig. I'm DJing the auditions for the Spirit team, and I was at the right place and at the right time. Otherwise, I'm a nobody. When I did DJed the auditions for the first time, it was like heaven cuz you see alot of hot chicks (and.... not so hot!) trying out. Sadly, you see alot of girls literally just walk across the floor with no talent at the first round. Well, they tried, ha ha. It's fun.

Hows it goin' Ksmith...been off the boards for a few days. It usually takes me around an hour to set up with the help of my wife. Bout a half hour to break down...Both setup and breakdown times are when I am moving at a pretty fast pace. If I'm being lazy you could tack on an extra 20 mins to 1/2 hour....

Yeah K. Smith, you noiced huh. It's near impossible to get anything NBA related down here in Sydney and it's completely impossible to get anything NCAA related down here. So I'm pretty much the only person sporting NCAA clothes down here - UNC is my favorite team, plus that Carolina Blue is my fav colour - so I'm usually rocking something Carolina related. Helps me stand out. Even my 2 dogs have UNC colars, leeds and jumpers - obsessed I know! Lol

I've got a Jason Kidd college jersey too, but everything else is pretty much Carolina Blue. I would love to get a Raymond Felton and Sean May Bobcats jersey, but they're just such ugly jersey's - I don't know what the team was thinking going with that orange!

Self-portrait using B&W 35 mm film. I am holding a real human skull obtained in India, the pig's head I bought from a local butcher and the set I constructed myself. Printed in a dark room using resin-coated paper underneath tissue paper that I dribbled water on to give it a creepy/ethereal effect.
