after reading that 1.7.2 will be next, i think that my earlier prediction of sometime in march will coincide with this release instead of 1.8.

now if someone could hint to how many 1.7.x versions will have, i think i could have a better prediction....so for now, i'll agree with Sam's prediction for 1.8 =P

I don't think the 1.7.x versions really have anything to do with the 1.8 version. My understanding is, whatever version will play videos will be seperate or a plugin or something like that. So the audio-only version might continue on the 1.7.x path for a bit and at some point it will have hooks added to allow the seperate video app to "talk" to serato. Actually, I really don't know how this all will work.

They should make the video app a completely serperate application and start the version numbering from 1.0.

Although with Sam throwin out mid-summer dates, I better put this in the back burner of my mind and just wait for the iPhone instead.
