An album, also called It Takes Two, was quickly put together and it produced a significant follow-up hit, "Joy and Pain," which sampled a song of the same name by Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, as well as "Put The Music Where Your Mouth Is" by The Olympic Runners. It also hit the Top 10 on the dance chart and climbed to #38 on the Hot 100.

Actually, Anything was a big dancehall hit.

This is a hard topic I see it's all SUBJECTIVE, the wikipedia entry I posted also stated further that certian record industry people considered a track a hit if it made it to the TOP 40. I always thought a HIT had to be NUMBER ONE, and I think most of us in this forum also believe so.
DJ ENUF 1:51 PM - 5 August, 2010
From your posted wiki link "Performers who are successful in specific genres, but produce only one crossover hit, are generally considered one-hit wonders by the public at large, but not by fans of their respective genres."

Actually, Anything was a big DANCEHALL hit.

NEGATIVE on the Mary Mary, - They have another joint out NOW, that's been rocking for quite a min...and it even has some pretty "Fresh" scratching in it.

Stereo MC's aren't one hit wonders in my eyes(ears).

My one hit wonders:

-Young Black Teenagers: Tap the bottle
-Fu Schnickens: True Fuschnick
-Monifah : Touch It
-Monie Love: It's a Shame
-Mary Mary: Shackles
-Luniz: I got 5 on it

I agree with YBT, but not Fu Schnickens, they had other songs. Luniz could be considered one hit wonder, but I liked there album Operation Stackola

I dug most of her album but I am from Detroit, I saw her at some little open mic night about a year or two ago (judge), she said she's trying to get back out there.

I remember seeing her at the River Rock way after the rap thing had been over, she cleaned up real well.
