Upfaders not working?

Some reason the upfaders on this mixer isn't working, I just got this mixer and just the upfaders won't work and if I mess with the fade contour it just lowers my volume a little bit, is there any solution to this? or do I have to buy a new fader to fix the problem?

So like I'm guessing PGM 2 burns out faders, the guy that sold it to me said all I have to do is buy a new fader, but I was thinking how exactly did the fader go out.

I put the cross fader on the upfaders and it works, but i notice when i took out pgm2 fader it smelled like it was burning or something. Any ideas on what I should do? Can I send it in and have rane fix it? please any help is appreciated.

Scratch that, does it to both sides, is that normal? Sorry I'm quite new to this, and I don't wanna buy two more faders and it would burn out again.

Hey ! I have the same Situation !!! Any condition of cable plugging that can coz the magnetic fader to BURN ?

After that the fader is always at Aprox. 50% !!! No Moves .. DEAD !

DJay Kinetic, yeah my faders were in reverse, I sent it in and awhile ago I posted this situation in the help forum and was told faders were in reverse, meaning the ribbon were the red wire is, is not on the right side. Pretend these iiii's are the ribbon, and the fourth "i" (which is the red one) needs to be on the right side.

hi, to answer your question, (not saying that you did this) but, the ribbons were plugged in wrong which will cause to the HALL SENSORS to burn out, thus causing you to have no working faders.
to cause of this is plugging in your J plugs backwards or misplugging your J plugs on wrong.
