Windows 7 Safe? Picking Up A New Comp In 1 Hr & Don't Have Time To Wipe B4 2Nite

Dj Shamann 4:04 PM - 3 April, 2010
I don't know If you guys read my other thread about Djing for 2 weeks without a laptop, but basically mine took a drink and put up a fight for a week or two but finaly had to be laid to rest (RIP Ol' Deller).

I got a deal on a machine under circumstances i can't pass up and going to pick it up in an hour, so this is not really a "should I get this" thread, it's a done deal. I'm just wondering about Win 7 because any machine I've plugged into before that is not mine and had Vista had issues.

I'm prepared to Dj without it if I have to, but I'd like to take the machine with me tonight, however if it's just going to have issues I'd rather not spend the night tweaking the system while trying to concentrate on the floor.

I read something recently on these boards i think about 7 having virtual XP, but it was in passing so I may have misread. Any info on that?

Sorry guys, my bad on not leaving more details. Yes I'm on 1.9.2, and I only checked with the interface connected.

Can I upgrade my c++ from microsoft updates page?
