I've been noticing an increasing number of "Dj's" (I use the word "DJ" loosely) on these forums putting in their 2 cents on how they think video DJing is weak because the only videos available are "TOP 40" tracks. This is soooo far from the truth. It's simply a matter of doing some decent searching. Every month services like promo only put out many videos that don't come close to the top 40. For instance, I recently acquired Dj Shadow's "Six Days" and I guarantee that it's far from a top 40 track. Also there are plenty of dance videos being released which will never come close to top 40. I guess it may be a blessing in disguise because those closed minded haters out there won't be clogging market leaving more work for us true VJs.

I think thats the best attitude you can have....let them think what they want, they are probably the same djs trading hard drive of music with other djs....in this biz it takes money to make money....and it also takes an open mind

top 40 hahahahaha there is soooooooo MUCH more out there than top 40
you just gotta search and pay ! sorry no limewire/blogs ect......

while I agree 100%

you cannot deny that top 40 /hip POP/ Hiphop and commercial dance
is where video THRIVES...
but of course its not limited to that.

Im Cool With That As Thats All They want To Hear In The Clubs. I Got Video's That wont Event hit The Pools. But The Less Vdj's We Have The More Money We Make. and get better equipment.

ive acutually been curious to see some of ques work, not hating at all but as an up and commer i would like to see how someone who mixes with\for master p coolio kday ect ect does his thing, theres prob alot to learn, I know dubs vids are great and i learned alot from them

Wow. People where did this thread go? I'll be the first to admit I have a lil hate towards the competition which is natural. But all this internet smacktalk is juvenile and a waste of time. Time that you could be using to better your skills. Anyways I started this thread as a little rant and it's unfortunate it turned into a fight.
