I have been putting tons of time into beat counting all my songs on serato. But they disappear! When i go back in to beat count more, I click on the bpm and it reappears. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can get it to stop?
Thanks,
Nato

If you rescan id3 tags do all the bpms come up?
The problem is is that your tracks have too much information on the tags.
You may need to convert your id3 tags to strip some information from them.

To rescan your id3 tags go to the setup screen in SSL and click the 'rescan id3 tags' option.
If that doesn't work than follow the directions below.
Do you use iTunes?
If so than you can convert your id3 tags with that program.
Try converting one file first because I'm not sure if it will strip the bpm column.
It doesn't on my computer using iTunes 7.1 but just to be safe.
1. Open up iTunes.
2. Highlight a song.
3. Click the advanced tab.
4. Click 'convert id3 tags'.
5. Convert id3 tag to 'none'.
6. Go back to the 'convert id3 tags' in the 'Advanced' tab
and this time convert to version 2.3.
7. Quit iTunes.
Now open up SSL and rescan your id3 tags again.
If this works go back and highlight your whole library and convert the tags as stated above.
Hope that does the trick. Let us know:)

I think clicking "rescan id3 tags" worked. Now, will I have to do this everytime I open up scratch or everytime I add new BPMs or never again?
Thankyou!
Thankyou!

I'm glad you sorted it out:)
Anytime you make a change to the tag outside of SSL you will need to scan the id3 tags in SSL again.
