BPM Display

sl1200 10:44 AM - 2 November, 2009
Would it be possible to have a more accurate bpm Display e.g. 75.51bpm instead of 76.00bmp in a future update?

I think sl1200 is talking about on the virtual deck so it would be easier to match both songs quicker. At least thats what i would imagine.

Andrei Matei 6:49 AM - 2 January, 2013
Yes, please! At least 1 decimal point on the vertical view like some of the other views!
browny 5:36 PM - 2 January, 2013
That will just be a distraction. Use your ears....simple
Andrei Matei 5:46 PM - 2 January, 2013
I'm not sure what would be a distraction. In certain cases (you're being distracted by a patron and need to quick mix into something else before the track runs out) or (you are in a very loud/echoy environment where even the headphones make it difficult) this visual representation can be nice. I've midi-mapped my X1 to have two buttons toggle between views simply for this. We're just asking for consistency across all views as that would be really helpful to most of us. I'm at a loss as to why there is so much resistance to this. Those who insist on only using their ears 100% of the time, should stick to pure vinyl with no DVS. And I will continue to bow down to them as a more skilled DJ than I. But yes, 1 decimal point readout on vertical view, please!
browny 9:52 PM - 2 January, 2013
I think we are past the pure vinyl days, that is a stupid comment. Having a decimal point is unnecessary, if they have an option to switch it off then I have no problem with it but I don't want it on my screen. Everyone these days just wants the screen to tell them everything. Becomes abit boring in my opinion...

Bpm display is perfect. No need to change. Use your ears to fine tune.
DjBLiZ 3:44 PM - 3 January, 2013
I used the BPM display in the past, but i used it more to learn how to mix. now that i have gotten really good at it i use it very little.

I wounder what what DJing be like today with out SYNC and BPM display???? would there be less DJ?
Marskeet 12:56 PM - 22 February, 2013
+1, theres more to mixing than having the tempo correct - i cant count the number of times having a precise bpm display would have come in handy.
