Just wondering if it's just me or is there latency even when you have it all the way to the left on the scale? OR is it just not a sharp enough CF? my scratching feels delayed and I can't figure out what it is.

think it's your crossfader cut. There's a thread about it you should chek out.

Yeah by apparently the on off gap is larger on the vci is larger than other mixers. Search the thread on here. Lots of good advice and even some homemade fixes

yes on the vci-300 the cross fader is weak. i actually upened mine and removed the cross fader(the only way to get to the back of faceplate) and taped two bits of credit card on the inside to shorten the crossfader cut
