"Protect library" => should be splitted into:

"Protect files" - no changes in the music files itself (no writing of tags, wave forms, etc) or physical(!) delete of the files is allowed. The same as the read-only file flag of the operating system. A delete/remove of the files from the crate/library only is allowed of course (except Protect Crates is ON =>).

"Protect crates" - no changes in the crates and no deletion of crates or files is allowed.

For me:

"Protect tracks" would be always ON.

Why? I'm using Tag&Rename as tagging software. I don't want to use other software due the logic of writing back data. SL also looses frames (fields) which it doesn't know and the data is lost (this is a bug which I have reported and must report again because it's not fixed).

"Protect crates" would be always OFF.

Why? I'm using it to sort the music within crates during the dj night (that's what I did with my records in earlier days ;-) ).
