he just like to have all his gear set up at once... :)
Gabriele, you should take a pic with your NS7 + VCI + maybe some turntables + some effectors... who knows... all in front of your vinyl collection.

LMAO - good one!
Gabriele, you should take a pic with your NS7 + VCI + maybe some turntables + some effectors... who knows... all in front of your vinyl collection.
Haha, I can multitask just fine ;-)
There are times I use ITCH other & times I use SSL.
I sometimes have surprise guest DJ's and they plug into what is familiar to them.
And finally sometimes someone will bring me a flash drive or those almost extinct audio mediums that were known as "CD's" and that will be connected/played on the player to the far right. I don't put any flash drives or "unknown" files on my Mac - Hellz 2 Da Naw!
Oh one last thought - The VCI is what I use for most mobiles/clubs so it is easy to re/disconnect. I only use the TTM57 and the DVJ's for Video Shows
Lastly, in case some of you have not figured this out - I can also trigger samples loaded on SSL with the TTM57 while playing on ITCH.

looks like a marathon case. does it have room for your laptop as well or just for the VCI? I have a hardcase for my VCI already but I sure would love one that could hold my laptop and pop out a shelf for performing.

I actually always use an external mixer to send my signal to my amps. I make most of my adjustments from that mixer and do just a little tweaking from my VCI-300

I got the marathon case without laptop tray on the way.... and stanton uberstand. I cant wait to have a lighter setup than previously...
DJdaveZ
8:50 PM - 13 September, 2009
true... but at what cost of weight? lightweight aluminum/steel stands like the stanton uberstand weigh a little less than that piece of wood and the metal that supports the slider or hinge mechanism. Plus the extra weight of the couple inches all around the edge to allow for lid clearance with the shelf.

seems the sliding shelf is lighter! but it also depends on your needs.
Some of my gigs do not have enough room for sliding shelf so i have to use something on the side.

Hi!
It is a book shelf from IKEA that I have customized to fit my HIFI gear, I bought a special shelf that you can pull out as well, that’s the shelf that holds the vci, everything is from IKEA…

Yeah, treaded pvc pipes with elbow attachment. I got the 1/2 by 12 inches and 1/2 by 6 inches to fit the length of my mixer base. I just finished spray painting it this afternoon with black glossy finish for plastic and as soon it dries up i'll take a pic.

Finished PVC stand for VCI 300 with glossy black paint. *I also bought a non skid tape that was placed on top of the PVC to prevent VCI 300 from sliding. Cost of everything $18.00 tax included.

Just got my V7+57SL set up in a NS7 coffin. Used to be CDJ-800's, but swapped it for one V7.
Last winter, Numark had a rebate for the NS7 and V7, which was $200 + a coffin. They sent me the wrong one, but it worked out to my benefit as it housed my whole setup shown here.

I am not sure if it is a "fair" comparison?
Two totally different beast.
I believe both are great products.
Both setup at Flat eq and gain at 12 o'clock.
Rane 62 has A LOT more headroom: My ears; 380 needs to be louder 2+ times to match the 62.
62 fuller sound, Bass thumps. It is made By Rane nuff said! <product endorsement> jk LOL
I only had a few days with the VCI380 but I can tell that I will have fun with it as much I still enjoy using the Vci300
just FYI I am not a "performance" DJ. Old skool or just plain old who likes to mix and buy new gear when the wife is not around LOL
I think I have enough experience to tell the difference between good and bad gear :)
62 and 380 = Win!

@ Dj_X_Trodinaire you are absolutely right i bought the vci 380 today and compared it to my 62, the gain is stronger on the 62. But i love the portability of the 380 so i will definitely keep it around. i just don't like the way how the gain lights are acting on the 380 it peaks out sometime without the volume even going up basically just acting real funky. Come on serato we need a fix.

The screen's are only 10 Inch. For Serato it would be nice to have 13 or 15 Inch, but for my case-concept it is better with 10 Inch, because the Guest's should see me behind my case :-)
www.dj-sven.net
To get ready to work, I only have to open 4 Butterflys, open the Case, put in 1 Powercon & 2 XLR for Audio and 1 Networkcable for DMX Interface.

Had to find some alternative knobs for the filters on the 380, as red on black just wasn't visible enough in dark clubs.
After trying a few from local suppliers without being happy with any of them, I plumped for a couple of DJ Tech Tools super knobs.
Boom! The business. Great feel, clear indicator line, and a perfect fit.
So I placed a second order and got the full compliment of knobs replaced now...

Very happy with them. Although a friend pointed out to me tonight that my controller now looks like Ali G's car in the Indahouse movie... Oh well.

Ive just starting using itch for the 380 , running of my new MacBook pro, I used to use windows 7 and virtualdj,
But How do you guys set it up to broadcast online radio, as when I use nicecast it messes my 380 up, I would like to use a 3rd party comp to broadcast it but not sure How I would wire it up
Also if it would capture my samples as I use soundplant 39 which runs in the background on my Mac
Will show my set up later
Thanks all

I have the CVA 28s which are amazing!!! I plan to get two more and one KW181 Subs to replace the two CVA 115s. I was thinking of going all QSC but I like the CVA28s too much. So for flexibility, I am gonna have 4 total with the antlers and one sub. If money allows, I may get another sub in the future, but I think I will have enough bass...
