Greetings Forum,
I transferred my files from my PC laptop to my Macbook. I formatted my drive to FAT32.
My crates showed up perfectly but the time lengths did not. I have followed the previous threads and rebuilt my V2 database, twice, rescanned for lost files and rescanned for ID TAGS but nothing.
The only way the time shows up instantly is if when I load the track on either player.
I use the length feature frequently and is necessary for my mixing.
Any support would be greatly appreciated.
All the best,
LA

The song length and bitrate is not written to the ID3 tag of music files within SSL. It is written to the DatabaseV2 file. So when this file is rebuilt - the only way to get the info back is to rebuild the overviews for the files or to load then one by one.

This is a known issue. It only affects people who rebuild the Database files. It is something that Serato is attempting to fix. So its the same story just worded differently.
