Master volume cuts off when controller gets plugged in

I am using serato dj lite with my numark party pro controller and the software works fine and plays audio through my laptop until i plug the usb from the controller into it. The master volume then cuts off (no green, yellow, red bar show anymore). I have tried playing with the output sound preferences, have used an rca adaptor wired to my speaker, and nothing seems to work. Any advice?

I have the exact same problem. Except I have dont have the Pro controller.

When you plugged in your hardware, audio output is from that hardware only.

So if I have an rca adaptor connected to my controller and speaker why is it not playing through the speaker? what can i do to fix this?

What connections are you plugging in to on the controller?

same issue. Serato lite works fine until I plug in the Numark Platinum FX controller via USB, controller can control the tracks but the master output gives no sound (nothing for eternal speakers or use Laptop speakers) and the sound bar is not showing green bars for level on master out. Tired on mac (Catalina and Big Sur OS, and on PC Won 10) and same result. I have reinstalled the numark firmware, again same result no output. Any help please?

u need to plug speakers into the output that are powered.
