Is anyone having an issue with the curve knob on the front of the ddj-sx2? When turned to the far-right position I'm still getting a long transition instead of a short cut. If you've had this issue please chime in with a fix.

You probably need to replace the crossfader. Look into the mini Innofader Plus. It's bleeding most likely and you'll need to get a new one. They are about $99.
