Serato DJ Pro crushes when using Mix Emergency

Hi.
I'm running

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015)
Processor 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB

Running on MacOS Mojave Version 10.14.5

and every time i open Serato Dj pro and mix emergency 2.7.1, the music stops playing and freezes. Is there anyway I can be able to use both without both apps crushing? I am using an HDMI cable to output my video.

does it crash when you don't use HDMI and just have the video output on your laptop screen?

It doesn't crash

So I don't get what you are asking then...is this a flex or a request for help with typos?

When i try playing music using my laptop with the programs serato and mix emergency and connect the laptop to a video output using the HDMI cable, the programs crash. "doesn't" was a typo since the rest of the conversation was being followed on my phone. Sorry about that.

So it's either bad HDMI cable, bad Mojave install (when it switches to the HDMI out), or bad HDMI device being connected to.

And to clarify does your 15" model NOT have the AMD Radeon video card?

I'd try:

1. different HDMI cable

if that doesn't help

2. different display/projector plugged into

if that doesn't help

3. clean install of Mojave to possibly remedy any corrupt gfx handling

if that doesn't help

4. take it to Apple and see if it's a bad HDMI port on the unit

^ I believe a clean install of Mojave would fix it esp if you just updated the OS from a previous OS to Mojave but try a diff HDMI cable first. A fresh install will usually work. Good luck
