DJ Speaker selection RCF Evox vs 715 vs 312 with sub

Hi all

Looking at getting a setup for my son. After reading and listing to a few options I decided on goimg with the RCF brand. Now, only considering cost for now, which option will give the better sound. SPL is less important than soumd quality for us both, and considering the budget I could get:
- 2x Art 312 with a 18 inch sub (708 as). About $2500 here.
- 2x Art 715 with no sub for now. Get the 708 in a few months depending on business. About $1600 here.
- 2x Evox 5 with 708 in a few months. About $2000.
- 2x evox 12 but with no sub. Pehaps in a few years. About $4400.
- 2x Art 745. No sub. About $3500.

Any input on this ?

For maximum flexibility and quality the 2x Art 312 with a 18 inch sub (708 as) is your best bet. If you can get the HD12 or HD32 that would be even better.

I would avoid the Evox 5 at all costs it's not piratical from a price point at all.

The Evox12 go up fast and appeal to wedding clients. Can't use them on tall stages as the sound goes way over people's heads.

The 745s are crazy loud but the 12 tops + 18 sub will sound better.

Why not RCF Evox 8?
They're an EVERGREEN, very powerful, relaible and easy to move..

As someone who owned the original Evox8 I wouldn’t buy them again. Price to performance a pair of 12” tops and an 18” sub is a better buy. Especially for flexibility of the system.

If looks or fast setup and breakdown are the most important thing then yes the Evox8 are perfect. But in too large of a room they sound weak IMO.

The built in mixer in the Evox j8mix is something that I hope moves over to other speakers / subs. It’s a great idea.

I use Evox12 They are nice! I used to have Evox8 and I miss them for smaller events.

I own the RCF745's and they are incredible even when used with no sub but as stated above "12 tops + 18 sub will sound better".

I just picked up a set of Evox 8 s from them. They are my favorite dealers to work with.

btw..
I've pair of FBT CS 1000..wonderful! ..but, before to buy them (last year) I were very unsure in between them and Evox 8..

I miss the Evox8, considering getting another pair. I like it because the sub, top, the speaker poles and cables fits in the single bag! Very very compact and friendly to mobile DJs.
