Djing Injuries What are yours?

I'm a mobile dj, I can't figure out how this happens but after doing mobile gigs sometimes
my finger nails feel like they were being ripped apart from the finger. I also realize that after
being hunched over the dj set for an hour or so my lower back cramps up after when I straighten out. Is this usual for DJs?

Raise yer table height.
My knee is effed up from years of carrying a 100lb sub with no castors or cart. Up stairs or wherever.

I am 6'8" so my back is always an issue. I need a surface that is at least 35" high to not feel it the next day.

I prop my controller up a couple inches on the decksaver. Any suggestions on what I can use?Maybe a stack of books. lol Standard tables are 2.5 feet or 76 meters tall. I'm 5'8" so the controller is around waist level.

If you have the right kind of table you can put lengths of pvc pipe on each leg to raise it up. I put my turntables on top of their cases.

I don't think I've gotten any injuries out DJ'ing, except for trying to take down a speaker stand with cracked/broken knob. Cut my finger.

Other than that, my only injury is constantly smacking my shin on my sub when it's stored in my garage.

When I was younger I hurt my back (not permanently thank god) thinking I could do a one man operation with yorkville EF500P tops. They sounded amazing but it was a bad idea. Much happier with sub 40lbs tops vs 80+lbs tops.

I recently picked up my scratching game and have also been doing the one-deck setup for a lot of my smaller gigs and it’s causing some pretty bad tendinitis in my right arm.
