I have same macbook but with 500gb owc ssd,im still on mountain lion and sdj 1.9.2 and like i said before im too paranoid to upgrade any further till i get a newer mac.But you are on yosemite and i dont have that option only el cap.

I stayed with the 2012, I took out the CD player, I added another SSD, I put 8GB of RAM and very well with Yosemite Patece that goes well with SDJ Pro 2.0.3, apart I have another laptop with an i7 6700👍

I have an 2011 with El Capitan and Serato Dj 1.9 works great, I also took out the CD and put in a 1TB SSD.

I have the late 2011 I5. I had tons of issue after I upgrade to High Sierra. I went back to Yosemite and had no issues after that. I cleaned my mac fan also.
