The speaker has an input and output in the back. Use the input and not the output.
The input on the thump is what’s known as a combo jack and takes both xlr and 1/4” cAbles.

you can also do XLR on both ends.
XLR female on one end ( this connects to the master out on the SX)
XLR male on the other end to plug into the Mackies.

You can use either a 1/4” or xlr. It accommodates both. I usually prefer xlr for ease of use.

I just saw! Also just wanted to make sure the male side fit into the mackie. On the 15, which port do you plug the male xlr into?

So I don’t see a input on the speaker, all it says is mix out, CH1, CH2?

That is not right.
What is not right? The mixer has XLR output connection? The mackie has a XLR input/output thru connection? Why wouldn't a XLR cable not work? I never seen a XLR cable with both female connectors on each end before.

Plug your XLR cable (male end) that is coming out of the controller into either of the channel inputs on the back of the speaker.

If you look at this speaker, doesn’t the channels only take 1/4”?

Its a XLR and 1/4 inch combo jack. You can use either one, they both will fit. You can use channel 1 or 2 getting same results.

The speaker you initially posted and this one are different.
On this one, it's one of the two jacks on the left.
For what feels like the 5th time - those are combo jacks - they accept either male XLR or male 1/4" cables. Stick with XLR - they're generally better and easier to deal with.
