Looking to add a subwoofer to match with my (2) QSC K12.2's. I don't want to buy 2 subwoofers as I get plenty of volume now for gigs up to about 150 people just with the k12.2's. I am not sure if the KSUB will be powerful enough for what i am looking for. And I love the idea of the KW181 but I'm not sure how to handle it without a built in crossover. Looking for advice.
Thanks

Open up the k12.2 owners manual and read up on how to adjust the crossover.

According to the KW series, the Ext. SUB button engages a 100hz high-pass filter, so im assuming the subwoofer is also crossed-over at 100hz.
You could do the same on your K12.2 and just high-pass it at 100hz.

on the K12.2 I have the option to set the crossover at 80, 100, or 120hz. So the LPF on the KW181 is 100hz so that would mean that i just set the k12.2 at 100hz and it should be fine???
sorry, kinda new to using subs

Do not get a K-Sub, they are under-performing. Get a KW181 or similar model from EV,JBL,Yorkville

It's a solid performer and relatively bulletproof. Doesn't hit quite as hard or as low as some of the newer models that are out but will probably cover what you need.
