I started using videos in 1988 using 3/4" decks and rockamerica and ETV tapes. Was a lot of fun laying down 12" mixes and then real-time syncing up the videos for it. Got real good with the play/pause button :)

Flash forward to 2004 when the Pioneer DVJ-X1's came out. I bought 3 for the club I worked at the first months and then 3 more for my mobile set-up. Still have them and they still rock.

Been doing at least 90% video playback each night since then and it's more like 98% videos now.

Since VSL Started before that, I never touched videos.

Been about 3-4 years now strictly video. Done work with a combo of DVJ's, VDJ, and V-SL.

Only use V-SL now.

since the weekend vsl came out.

when vsl dropped.

Between Jan-March 2007 started with VDJ 4.3 (since I got the VDJ and put down all the necessary equipment)
VSL sinceJan-June 2008 (got it as soon as it came out, but I couldn't use it till I bought MBP)

I started yesterday.... :)

I started 3 years ago with video, on the DVJ's. Then moved on to vsl the day it was in stores. I was so happy. No more DVDs!

Since DVJs came out in 04. Switched too VSL mid-08.

u know what is funny with VSL n all the hype it has gotten there are still many not caught on yet somewhat surprised and kind of happy at the same time...
