I'm quite surprised I have had SV crashes and it turns out most of them are the free visuals like LIVEFX and the audio reactive visuals. The video application crashes but SDJ doesn't I just have to reload SV. Very odd

Well ok, I am using ME not SV, I only use SV these days when prepping library stuff offline.

Yeah I'm gonna start using M.E. for some reason SV has a hard time with the Live visuals or quartz files crashing the software.

It's cause you're using an integrated graphics card which isn't best for video purposes. It's a 13" MacBook Pro where as the 15" has dedicated graphics switching ex: Nvidia graphics card for high performance.

The current 15 inch and last generation with integrated graphics will run SDJ and ME fine. Dedicated is better but a 4000 might be a bit under powered as these are now in the 6000 range for integrated graphics controllers..
