Roland DJ 808 sample settings

Been thoroughly reading the 808 manual and it's like I'm learning something new every time I did deeper in the man...There are 3 sample rate settings that you can set the controller to 96khz, 48khz and 44.1khz does anybody know the difference in the 3? The controller comes set at 48khz and it sounds excellent but I'm wondering if I set 96khz will it sound even better???

Yup mine is at 96khz and sounds like a choir from heaven
