Hey guys,

Hoping some of you guys can me with a few home theatre questions. I am having my basement finished and have some ideas that I'm not sure will work.

1. I am hanging my BenQ 812ST projector from the ceiling. This projector has one HDMI input. With that being said, I want to connect the projector to a blu ray player and also to a HDMI wall plate on other side of room for my DJ set up. I own a 1X4 HDMI splitter from mono price but not sure it will work if I connect it directly to the projector. Would i need a splitter with a switch?

2. I am also purchasing a receiver. I want to use my blue ray player for the projector and the TV that I will also have in basement. Should I hook up the blu ray player to the receiver and projector & TV to receiver?

I hope that isn't to confusing.

P.S. I originally wanted to be able to play music videos from my DJ set to TV and projector but don't think it can happen.
