Nightclub DJ Switch between SDJ and SSL

Was playing around after hours with another DJ after the club was over and went to do a switch from SDJ (windows) to SSL (mac) on a SL4 and could not figure out how to get the channels to become available on SSL. Grant it we didnt try for a very long time but I also havent tried switching between SSL and SDJ with an SL4, or even mac-windows so I'm just curious for future gigs is it even possible? and how? Just dont want to take a gig and have to kill the music to do the switch... thanks!

This video should explain, it shows Scratch Live to Scratch Live, but it should be the same process for Scratch Live to Serato DJ.

Thanks. I've done that plenty of times from SDJ to SDJ but never to SSL, never gave an available channel, maybe something was screwy that day. I havent had the chance to try it again since.

Whenever im at a club, switching from SSL to SDJ & vice versa has never worked. The channels get all screwy.. I just use whatever the last dj used or loop roll on the Pioneer mixer.
