QSC K12 or EV EKX15P (no sub)

T35t3r 4:40 PM - 13 October, 2016
Would your drive 5 hours round trip to pay $700 for an EKX15P or get a K12 in your local GC for $800? Single speaker set up, absolutely no sub allowed, Latin music DJing and need them ASAP so no ordering. Thanks!

Sorry, $800 for EKX 15P

K12 is your best option.
Tho EKX15p might have more bass bcos it's a 15" but K12 is rock solid.
Ekx15 limits too fast when pushed.

That's a long ass drive man. I personally wouldn't drive that long/far to save 100-200 bucks.

Although personally, I'd prefer the EKX over the K12, but that's just me.

Yeah but he needs it right away. I wouldn't drive 5 hours for anything other than a roudtrip or something. But if he had time ProAudiostar would've been the best bet.

didn't notice that, i just saw the 5 hour for $800

honestly i would not, what i would do, get proaudiostar to send me an invoice for something like a yamaha dxr12 ( can be had for well under $600 each) then get your local guitar center to price match it

Any sites to price match a K12 for lower than $800? Going to GC
T35t3r 6:16 PM - 13 October, 2016
Local GC only has the K12 in that price range. Only EV they have is a ZLX, no Yamahas ans a few JBL EONs plus all the low - mid brands

and even thats to much, this speaker can be had for around $620/$640 new!

Why not rent a system, get the party to pay for the rental, then after your gig call up proaudiostar and get the speaker you want.
Gio Alex 6:37 PM - 13 October, 2016
I think we all can agree that driving for 5 hours is a bit much.

Using GC credit. How can I get a cheaper quote from Proaudiostar? Or another GC honored price match?

I don't think anyone beats Pro Audio's prices really.

No sub allowed (sounds like a lousy venue, pun intended)?
I doubt you have to worry about speaker limiting!
I'm hearing great things about the new Alto TS212's
