Why I cannot Play AVI videos using Serato in My MAC?

I am having issues loading AVI files into track in Serato, I can only see a line and there is not sound - no waves forms. I am using MAC el Capitan x

Macs do not support avi files it's mainly for Windows machines.

download from legit pools as mp4 is the common format for mac's. Avi is not normal with macs.

Try using the perian plug in for QT....
