Hi all wondering if someone can help:
I have just purchased the DJM S9 and I am running Win 7 Pro.
I have downloaded the DJM S9 drivers and also done the Firmware update
Then I downloaded Serato Dj Pro
I plug the S9 into the computer but it wont connect or show up when Serato DJ is open? The mixer just says "please connect to Serato DJ"
In the Pioneer setting utility it is showing as connected for both input and output - so I know there is a signal and the cable is ok
Any ideas?

My system spec is:
Sony Vaio F1
Quad Core i7 Q740 @ 1.73GHZ turbo to 2.5GHZ
8gb RAM
Win 7 64 bit Pro
No other USB devices running - just the S9 plugged in to one of the USB ports (it has 2 in total)
DJM S9 is running the latest firmware 1.07
So far I have tried:
•Un installing Serato DJ, then un installing the S9 driver.
•I then re started the pc, downloaded the latest driver for the S9. Re started the computer hitting F8 and then selecting - "disable driver signature enforcement"
•Once it loads into Windows I then installed the downloaded S9 driver - all installed ok
•I then did fresh install of Serato DJ (latest version)
•I set the internal soundcard / speakers as the default Playback device
•I load up the Serato DJ
•I plug in the USB from the S9 to the computer
•It still doesn't work
•I tried this also on the other USB port on the computer and still no luck :(

Tried an older version and still the same so i then tried on the desktop pc and it works so must be my laptop.
Probably driver related or something. At least it's working lol
If I get to the bottom of why it doesn't work on the Sony Vaio I'll post up.

I would say try to update any drivers your laptop needs check the manufactures website, even with the video card drivers. Something is having conflict. If that fails completely do a clean install of the OS and retry. Maybe check for windows updates too.

Possible conflict with a Bluetooth audio device.
Turn Bluetooth off on your PC
Go to device manager an remove any Bluetooth audio devices.
Also in windows sound settings, make sure your S9 is not the default audio device for windows

Please do cause you shouldn't be having problems connecting with those specs unless its a driver issue which is common with windows machines. Maybe try upgrading Windows as 7 I heard has caused some issues w/serato.

OK so after a long time trying to get this to work on my Vaio laptop I finally got it working.
The problem appeared to be with Sonys Renesas USB 3.0 drivers from their download page was not up to date, or causing conflict, so I downloaded new driver from: plugable.com and it finally worked
If anyone else has similar issue then give this a try
