do you have at least the club kit unlocked?
and have you also made sure the mixer's firmware is updated?

Yes. I can control connected via HID only.

you need to enable dvs expansion in the sdj setup screen then you need to open the 900nxs utility and set it the inputs to timecode.

when you install the drivers from pioneer, it'll also install the mixer's utilities.
you just need to set the channel to RCA's or Digital, however you're using it.

but why control timecode when you have HID up and running? that's like going backwards..
only downside is you would need a USB hub for plug them all in the computer (assuming you have a mac)

I have the drivers from pioneer installed and the mixer utilities selected "timecode". I can use the CDJs via HID mode, but I want to use the timecode on the turntable too.

Might be best to read up on it.. just an FYI.

All jokes aside dj software is one of those things you really should. Not ever version but at least be familiar with the manual from the last ear or so. Things don't only get added. They get changed.

I had a similar situation, I fixed it by deactivating/re activating the DVS pack.
